If you have a spare 1/2 hour this week, and haven’t had the opportunity yet to visit the Fashion Show – 60 years of Fashion Photography exhibition at the Atlas Gallery, get your skates on, as it is due to end on the 24th of this month.
And it would be a shame to miss it, because it’s a delightful exhibition of fashion photography, featuring the work of high profile photographers, including Richard Avedon, Horst P. Horst and Lillian Bassman.
Atlas Gallery is located in smart Marylebone, not too far from Baker Street Station, with an atmosphere that’s welcoming, relaxed, surprisingly spacious and ideal for anyone interested in fashion, photography, history or simply like spending time looking at beautiful pictures by famous photographers in close proximity.
I also have to mention how kind, helpful and polite the receptionist was when we visited, sadly a rarity in many other similar establishments.
With space on the lower level of the gallery to sit down with friends to chat, and the opportunity to use the impressive collection of reference books provided on the upper floor, this is a must for any arts student, or those with a passing interest in this art form.
I had a wonderful time at the Atlas Gallery, and highly recommend going to visit this unique exhibition, before it ends on Thursday.
