Unfortunately, as information has been leaked to the press prior to the official announcement, I have been forced to make this brief statement.
I am pleased to confirm that I am to play the role of the new companion in the BBC TV series, Doctor Who.
I am unable to say more at this stage, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank my family and friends for their continued support. I am very excited about this new chapter of my life, particularly working with the wonderful Peter Capaldi (The Doctor) and Steven Moffat (Executive Producer/ Lead writer).
